CASE BRIEFING

A voice vanished on air

At 10:17 p.m., radio host Arthur Vale announced that he had proof of a wartime betrayal. Seconds later, listeners heard breaking glass, a burst of music, and silence.

The studio door was locked from inside. When it was forced open, Vale was gone. A unique acetate recording known as The Grey Gull Disc was missing.
